Merry merry merry Christmas!!!!
Christmas Eve my parents and I went to church and then out to dinner, and I wore the same dress as Christmas day.... oops, I know I am an outfit repeater! But you gotta do what you gotta do!
Christmas day, we got up around 10 am and opened presents under the tree!
I got some really nice and some funny gifts from my parents and brother.
The funniest gifts were cat related....
My brother got me a gray beanie with a cat on it that has a speech bubble and says meow, and then my mom got me a dress from H&M that has cats all over it...
I think they are trying to tell me something about my future... cat lady anyone???
It was pretty funny!
I also was reminded pretty early on in the morning that Christmas is all about giving and not receiving. A little refresher was good!
We had a fun, crazy, loud and amazing night filled with lots of laughs, and for some people lots of booze.
It is so amazing to be surrounded by so much family and I forgot how much I miss their craziness during the year when I am down in NC.
All 16 of us squeezed around our dining room table and we had the best time.
We are a crazy and very loud bunch but we are you classic big Italian family and I wouldn't change it for the world.
My nieces and nephews ran around the house like crazy people all night. My one niece got a karaoke machine that we were testing out, and honestly I think I was having more fun with it than her!
Now onto a fan favorite of the night, my dress.
My family wouldn't stop talking, all night about how skinny I am and how good I look in this dress, and how I need to eat some more! They keep saying that I lost so much weight since being at school, and I honestly disagree! But all night they wouldn't let it go! So thanks fam, I'm flattered you think I look so skinny and so good in this dress, but I swear I'm not "defying the odds" and loosing the freshman 15 instead of gaining it! Maybe the dress just camouflages everything!
And to my sister who said that navy isn't Christmasy, it definitely is! And now I can wear this dress again!
This dress is beautiful! It's from H&M! I know, crazy! It was $100 and it was so worth it!
As you can see, the dress is all lace. It is long sleeved and has a very high neck, but a very short hem line, so there is some balance.
High necked dresses with short skirts are my personal favorite style of dresses because it really shows off the legs! And you know I love showing them off!
But the shortness comes with a price. When I wore it to church, I felt like every old man was starring at my butt. And when I wore it to Christmas day, I couldn't bend over or even sit on a chair without practically flashing everyone! Oops!
But it is a fabulous and elegant dress, that I will 100% wear again!
