The Whitney Museum
SOHO
Alex visited me in NY!!!
She took the train out to me on Long Island and then on Thursday we went into the city for some exploring!
Unfortunately it was raining, or maybe not so unfortunate because we went and saw the Whitney Museum all the way downtown by the highline.
It is a modern art museum.
And I have to say I really enjoyed it!
I am not usually one to just go to a museum for fun, but this one, we just went for fun and it was great!
I would highly recommend it! It was a big museum, lots of floors, and lots of art. There were lots of little "movies" displaying all throughout the floors. So it was really cool and just very different and unique.
(And if your 18 or under, like Alex and I, you get in for FREE!!!)
There was a naked men exhibit and all it was fabulous.
I'm kidding about that part being fabulous, but I have to say after taking my FYS museum class, I have a new appreciation for art and museums!
My favorite piece of art was the first picture, all the way at the top of allllllllll those photos.
It was actually a backdrop of a sunset from a movie set in LA.
I just loved the colors and come on, it matched my outfit perfectly!
Speaking of my outfit: I did a little denim on denim look.
It was very simple and effortless.
I made the outfit a little dressy by having a "arm party," with lots of bling bling on my arm.
And added a pop of color with my crazy pink Hunter boots!
Shirt: Banana Republic chambray shirt
Jeans: American Eagle high waisted x4 jeggings
Boots: Hunter pink glossy tall boots
Earrings: Tiffany pearl studs
Bracelets: Hermès clic clack H enamel bracelet in light pink and gold and J Crew gold and pave chain link bracelet
Watch: Michael Kors gold Blair watch
After the museum we took the subway a couple stops down to SOHO and did some exploring, and of course more blog pic taking!
