Tea and Crumpets

Pinkies up!

Last weekend my mom and I got all dressed up and went to a new cute little tea shop that I stumbled upon on Instagram.

It's called the Royal Tea House and it's in Great Neck on Long Island.

From the outside it doesn't look very appealing but the inside was so so cute!

Look at the velour seats and wallpaper. And there was even a fake shrub in the middle of the room with little butterflies on it.

I read the reviews on Yelp before I went and it got surprisingly good reviews.

But still I was skeptical.

I even looked at the menu online and I couldn't find the full menu with all the deserts listed, so I just had to wait until I got to the restaurant.

The minute I opened the menu, my mom and I found the desert/snack tower and we were sold. 

For $34 we got a 3 level tower with avocado toast, crumpets, scones, cakes, creme brûlée, macaroons, more tarts and sweets and two pots of tea.

I got the passion tea which was black tea infused with apples, oranges and lemons.

My mom went for a different approach, and got the jasmine green tea. 

Both were sooo delicious!

And look how cute the little tea pots and cups were.

Omg

To die for.

I honestly can't wait to go back because the room and food was just so aesthetically pleasing.

I'm in love!

My mom and I had such a wonderful time at tea that she surprised me and booked a table at the Plaza hotel for tea in two weeks!

I'm so excited!!!
