“Celebrate good times!”
I am so excited to be celebrating my 3-year anniversary of Tall and Preppy!
I don’t want to get too mushy, but this blog has been my pride and joy these past three years.

I have to thank you for following me along on this crazy journey and for sticking by me even when times were a bit rough.
I love you all and thank you for making my dreams come true.
After three years of blogging, I would not call myself a newbie, but I am still learning every day!
Here are three things I have learned over the years that I want to share with you!
1. Edit and revise your posts- Seriously, don’t rush! Maybe this is just because I am an English major now but it’s all about the details!! Don’t type directly on blogger or your blogging platform, (like I did for years) but rather put them in a word document and read them over OUT LOUD and look for grammatical and punctuation errors. I know this is tedious and extra work, but it is so worth it! Think of your blog as a portfolio that your future employers will read!
2. Connect with other bloggers- Going into my freshman year at Wake Forest I was fearing that I wouldn't be able to keep up my blog. I knew that my mom, grandpa and brother were no longer going to be able to be my photographer.
One day, while I was scrolling through Instagram, I found this cute girl Ashley, My Well Dressed Life, and realized that she was going to be a freshman at Wake too!! I was so excited that I emailed her, dm-ed her and followed her!
I was so excited that I may have gone overkill with sending her messages, but I was ecstatic to have found someone who would possibly a) be my friend and b) take pictures for me! It worked out! We became fast friends and decided we would meet every day after class and take pictures for each other! It is so nice to have someone else to talk about blogging with and take pictures with!
I am also made friends with other college bloggers on Instagram and now we all chat in a group message and share tips and tricks!
You have to remember that blogging is about community and it is not about competition!
3. Post, post, post!! I know the new algorithm on Instagram is kind of messy but I still believe that consistency in posting on Instagram and on blogger is KEY!
It has gotten harder over the years, as I have tried to balance school and now work, and also blogging. But POST!! It is the only way for other bloggers and followers to see your work! And it is so fun!
Well there you have it! Three tips for the three years I have been blogging! I have so many more tips and ideas for other bloggers to use that I would love to share with y’all! Let me know if you want to hear my other tips!
