1.Traveling (when you are reading this I am in MEXICO! My first international trip since 2020)
2.Wine (I am partnering with Macy’s Wine Shop where you can get 3 (!!) bottles of DELICIOUS wine (Italian, Californian, red, white, sparkling, anything!) for $14.95) Linked here!
3.Dressing up in heels and a dress (the BEST combo!)
I have always thought of Kate Middleton as one of my style icons. She is so classic, sophisticated and elegant from as early as I can remember (maybe minus the half-naked runway show from her university days).
She has inspired a lot of my fashion choices over the years especially with silhouettes and tea length dresses.
Her and her stylists really know how to dress tastefully and well regardless of the occasion.
Kate and I have shared some similar looks these past couple of months and I thought I would share because I think Kate Middleton stole my look!
Kate’s two looks were so similar to mine that I thought there was a high possibility (lol) that Kate and her stylists copied me (because I am also a style icon and legend just like her!).
We both wore very similar green evening gowns. I wore mine on December 30, 2021, and Kate wore a similar dress in a similar color on March 24, 2021. Obviously, I wore it first and she stole the idea from me!
I wore a retro midi length polka dot dress on March 2, 2021, and Kate wore a strikingly similar long polka dot dress on March 29, 2021. The similarities are uncanny.
There you have it folks, Kate Middleton stole my look.
Obviously, this post is a joke and there is no way Kate Middleton and her stylists actually know about T&P or follow me or any of that, but I thought it was funny and I wanted to share.

I finished my second year of law school a week ago and I am going to be starting my last year of school EVER in the fall. That’s kind of crazy! Anyway, after two years of law school I finally feel like I’ve grasped it and can share the best advice I was given and the best advice I would like to pass along.
Get an externship!
During your first year of law school, you aren’t allowed to work outside of school because your job is to pass and do the best you can, but after your first year, you are allowed to work. You take most of your required classes your first year. After that you only have a couple more classes you have to take to graduate. After your first year, especially if you went straight from undergrad to law school, you are probably burnt out (like I was and still am) therefore, I highly recommend applying for an externship.
An externship is a non-paid legal internship where you work for academic credit.
This means you get academic credit to work. Which also means you get to work instead of taking an elective class. I rather work and commute (even if commuting is a hassle) rather than sit in a classroom and have to listen to an extra lecture that doesn’t have anything to do with what I want to do and take a class that requires me to read and do more homework that I have no interest in.
I have done two externships, one each semester of my second year of law school. I love them because you get real life work experience, with something to put on your resume and something you can actually talk about during interviews.
I cannot speak more highly of externships. I got to work for an amazing firm and organization during the school year.
This is the best advice I can give to any law student. I am so happy I was advised to do an externship and I loved it so much I did another one. Maybe I will do a third in the fall!
I used to write five blog posts a week when I was in high school, and I tried to continue that my freshman year of college. Unfortunately, over the past couple of years I haven’t written as much as I used to. This summer I am trying to make better use of my blog and my website.
Also, honestly with all the craziness and unpredictability of social media right now, I am very fortunate to have this platform.
Anyway, this wasn’t supposed to be a long post. This is just supposed to be a quick weekly post of my five favorite things on Friday, including fashion, lifestyle, home decor, tv shows, books, experiences, etc.!
So here five favorites for the week: (may contain affiliate links)
I finally hopped on the white sneaker trend, not even sure if you can even call it a trend anymore, because white tennis shoes are here to stay.
Overall, as a species, white sneakers are the most practical shoe for me when commuting, walking miles in New York City and when it’s raining. My outfit pictured here is how I like to style my white sneakers in the springtime.
My first pair of white sneakers were from J.Crew. They were Adidas look-alikes and a good price for a leather sneaker (under $50) while I was testing to see if I liked the look of me in sneakers.
My second pair was Adidas Stan Smith. These are so incredibly comfortable because of the extra thick cushioned sole. Perfect for a heavy heel strike (which I am guilty of doing) on the rough concrete sidewalks in the urban jungle. Unfortunately, everyone has a pair of these sneakers, and they are a bit overdone. Stan Smith’s come in many different accent colors (on the heels) and are $100.
My current pair are Veja. Again, super comfortable, but maybe not as comfortable as my Stan Smiths. I do love that they aren’t as popular as the Stan Smiths and I love the pink! I also love that this is a French brand, and they are made in Brazil with recycled materials. Like the Stan Smiths, these also come in lots of different accent colors. They are the priciest of the three at around $150.
All shoes are equally easy to clean.
The best way to clean white leather shoes is with a Magic Eraser. My boyfriend, the man that introduced me to white sneakers, and even bought me my first pair, has become a white sneaker connoisseur over the years. He taught me to throw the laces in the washing machine and wipe down the leather with the Magic Erasers and they turn out looking as good as new.
