Five Friday Favorites | 27 | Podcast, Camel Coat, Faux Leather Skirt, At-Home Blow Out and Perfume
1. Amelia Liana’s podcast: What I Know Now- Amelia Liana is my favorite influencer. She has been for years. She started her podcast three years ago when her engagement ended. She is 30 now and shares insightful advice about relationships and life. She brings on wonderful guests.
2. Long camel coat- The most classic coat I own. It goes with most of my outfits and looks so chic even paired with jeans and a casual sweater.
3. Brown pleated faux-leather skirt- @theclassicmadison inspired me to buy this adorable skirt. Zara made a very similar one a couple of years ago, and they are being sold on Poshmark for $100. This skirt is only $50. It was a fast impulse purchase, but I had to have it. I love how I styled it here and I can’t wait to style it with white and denim too.
4. Revlon One-Step blow-dryer- Do you want to always have salon quality blow outs at home? Ah YA! This blow-dryer is the BEST! It makes my hair so bouncy and shiny.
5. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy perfume- I think this is the first “real” perfume I wore when I was younger. It has been repurchased many times because it is still my favorite scent.

Five Friday Favorites | 26 | Slippers, Quote, Candle, StreamLine Luggage and More
1. Ugg Slippers- They are so warm, fluffy and cozy. They are one of my favorite gifts I have ever received. Also, a favorite gift to give.
2. This quote: “perfectionism is you living in fear, hustling to the next achievement”- I attended a webinar about failure and how to overcome imposter syndrome thorough my law school last week. The speaker said this line and it really resonated with me. I had never thought about perfectionism like this before.
3. Sarah Flint X StreamLine Luggage- The prettiest suitcases there ever was!
4. Voluspa Blond Tabac candle- I love this candle. It smells divine. The packaging is also beautiful.
5. Little sombrero hats- For Alex’s 25th Birthday last weekend, I threw him a quinceañera. We had Mexican food and then went to a Latin bar for dancing. I also bought these little sombrero headbands for the guests, and everyone loved them!

Walking Tour of Manhattan From North to South
Alex and I hiked (most of) Manhattan yesterday from Dykman Street Station (the 1 Train) all the way to Columbus Circle.
It was a really long walk.
We mostly followed Broadway and walked south, but there were lots of cool historical monuments and historical spots to see. We clocked about 10 miles, with a lot of zigging and zagging.
Broadway is the longest road in Manhattan. It’s a total of 13.3 miles from north to south.
We did not walk all the way south, because it was getting dark and we spend so much time in the southern part of Manhattan, that we didn’t really find it necessary to go further than Columbus Circle by foot.
It was a tough walk, with lots of hills. This walk is definitely not for the faint of heart or feet, but I really enjoyed it. I’d love to do it again and see more of the city that doesn’t get a ton of love and attention.
Next time we do it, we’re going to start at Columbia University and walk south from there.
Here are the spots we passed along the way:
- We started at Dyckman Street Station (1 Train)
- Fort Tyron Park
- George Washington Bridge
- Uptown Trinity Church and Cemetery
- James Bailey House
- Hamilton Grange National Memorial
- Shepard Hall
- Apollo Theater
- Columbia University
- Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine
- Central Park
- Columbus Circle
