Every year since middle school (I think), I have been going out east to stay with Michelle and her family. It has become one of my favorite weekends every year and something I look forward to all year long. (This post is severely delayed. I went to East Hampton the first weekend of July.)
I wasn’t originally planning on going as I had the Bar Exam to study for, but I’m so glad I didn’t miss my favorite trip, even if I only went for 24 hours.
Friday:
Every year we take a picture in front of the hydrangeas in the backyard, so this year was no different, even though the hydrangeas were far and few between.
I wore my new favorite two-piece set from Hill House (top and skirt) covered in hydrangeas to match.
Dinner was at Bostwick’s on the Harbor. We went last year, really good food. They don’t take reservations, but if you go around 6 or 7 you shouldn’t have to wait too long. The restaurant is right on the water. It’s casual and delicious. We all had lobster rolls! The calamari is my favorite.
Saturday:
I woke up early to study outside on the deck before heading to the beach.
The beach is my happy place. There was wonderful people watching and we even saw a whale! While on the beach I did some flash cards for the Bar Exam and tried to escape the test...but it didn't really work. But it was nice to have a change of scenery.
Sunday morning I headed back home to study.
Until next year!
