Engagement Party in NOLA

My best friend got engaged!

At the end of April, the weekend before my last week of law school, I flew down to New Orleans for a weekend of celebration!

The wedding is next summer in California, and after the fabulous engagement weekend, I know the wedding is going to be amazing! I am so excited! 

Thursday:

Alex and I visited Kate last year for Mardi Gras so we had already seen the key tourist attractions. This time Kate took me to see Tulane’s campus. And the beautiful houses close by.

We checked out the location for the engagement party. Scoped it out.

 

Friday:

Po Boys at Parkway for lunch! The best!

Wine party at Kate’s future in-laws home. Bordes Wine from Sonoma! So delicious! 

I gifted Kate this jacket with her future last name on it, the same name as the wine label and it was a major HIT! 

The inside joke with the denim jacket is that Kate, Alex and I strictly wore denim jackets when we were abroad so we coined ourselves The Denim Jacket Club.

 

Saturday:

We had brunch at Molly’s Rise and Shine on Magazine Street. We then got our steps in and window shopped up and down Magazine before heading to the French Quarter.

We got ready, I did Kate’s hair and we got ready to celebrate the happy couple at the Yacht Club. Beautiful sunset and great vibes all around.

After the party, we didn’t stop and headed to Hot Tin, a rooftop bar in the Pontchartrain Hotel for great drinks and great views of the city.

 

Sunday we headed home!

Cannot wait for next August!
